Yayyyy my first piece of Space Art! Not bad for my first attempt and also my first time using Gimp (although I feel guilty for having betrayed PaintShopPro 7 
)
So *tadp0l3 posted a blog on #Star-Trekking featuring a whole heap of tutorials to teach yourself Space Art! So I chose this one and ran with it:
I didn't spend a whole heap of time on this, was really just trying out techniques... But when I get some time I might try do a version with much more detail.
Still constructive criticism will be very much appreciated
And bonus points if you know what the name is from

It's from the Fifth Element, with Bruce Willis. It's not the name of the planet, but of the diva performing (she is tall and blue and awesome). Still, this is very pretty.
